The message behind, “Sometimes People Collide,” the new one from Dusty Edinger, is both timeless and consistantly timely, as old as human relationships themselves and always relatable, personal yet universal. Essentially, it says, relationships are sometimes difficult, even the smoothest of them hit occasional bumps in the road. And sometimes, the other person is blind to just how hard their partner is trying to keep things on track.

This message, he puts to a great pop-rock groove, the song takes the accessibility of the former genre and uses just enough of the latter’s sonic weight to drive things along and create a effortless and unmissable groove, one aided and abetted by the fact that Edinger, a drummer by trade, adds a prominent and energetic beat.

Pianos cascade, bass lines pulse, guitars add deft lines and soulful harmonies shoot through the music and the result is a song that is both infectious and accessible and a sentiment that most of us will listen to and sagely nod our head and say something along the lines of, “yes, I’ve been there.” We all have!

Modern pop for modern lives.

Leave all the longhairs to debate quite where hard rock ends and metalcore begins (like it matters), this is a song with one goal: to get you on the dancefloor strutting your stuff. […]
