It’s great to come across a song brimming with such positivity. We seem to be living in times when dark clouds are gathering on all fronts, socially, politically, technologically, and even perhaps creatively, but it is nice to know that there are still people out there who can find the silver linings.

California is made up of artists who are no strangers to having hits, and although their chart positions were a while ago, it is clear that they still know how to pen a popular tune. It’s poppy. It has a rock groove. It is jaunty and joyous. The beat is infectious, looking you right in the eye and daring you not to join in and hit the dance floor.

A perfect summer smash and precisely what we need in these cynical and troubled times.
