Taking the sort of analogue/digital blend that powered the backbeat of bands like New Order and adding a more contemporary top layer of sonics, Moon Worm builds something that seems to chime with post-punk nostalgia and still sounds like it is trying to forge a bright new future for alternative pop music.

Perhaps pop music isn’t the term; it is smarter and more imaginative than that. But whatever is happening here, it is new, fresh, perfectly timed and sonically significant.
