Halo Tora release lead single ‘Always The Last To Know’ ahead of their new 6-track album, ‘Man of Stone: First Chapter’ and UK & European Tour
Glaswegian prog-rock five-piece, Halo Tora have released the lead single, ‘Always The Last To Know taken from their new 6-track concept album ‘Man Of Stone: First Chapter’ which is due to release on the 6th April 2018. The self-release was supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
Halo Tora’s immersive music builds layer into their songs creating atmospheric, melody-driven, alternative rock music. With influence pulled from the likes of Coheed And Cambria, Leprous and Karnivool, Halo Tora’s music offer deep and meaningful content creating mood and feeling throughout each track. Halo Tora have their own unique sound.
On the release of the single, vocalist, Chris Alexander says; ‘Always The Last To Know’ is a song which has allowed me to address an issue which myself and many of my friends have had to deal with over the past few years. From trivial worries to losing friends or family, these things become a daily struggle for everyone and the lyrics relate to getting on top of them and letting go.”
Chris continues; “The music and the lyrics are a discussion, and for me, a remedy. The idea was to be as honest and open about it all so that the listener could relate. The lyrics draw inspiration from how, as individuals, we have dealt with anxiety and our mental health.” The band have harnessed a broad and dedicated fan-base by captivating broad audience from festivals to tour supports. Having shared the stage along with way with the likes of Jamie Lenman, Tremonti and My Vitriol as well as recently embarking on their own headline UK and European tours, Halo Tora have also appeared at UK’s ArcTanGent festival beside Explosions In The Sky, Converge, Russian Circles and Listener.

Manager, Dan Stevenson says, “I’ve been managing and booking for Halo Tora since 2015 and it’s been a pleasure to see their venues and audiences grow from tour to tour. Off the back of an appearance at ArcTanGent last year (2017) there has been a notable demand in further afield cities in Europe. With their album due out on April 6th and the UK/European tour starting in Glasgow (Stereo) on 27th April, the next year is set to be the most progressive yet.”
