Just those words all together in one place is enough to make you want to know more. Then they managed to squeeze the word “Cantilever” into the lyrics, and I realised I was in love with this song.

But wordplay aside, Osiris at the Large Hadron Collider is a neat slice of punchy alt-rock, a song shimmering with nervous energy and off-beat vibes; maybe not quite alt-rock, but it’s undoubtedly on first-name terms with alt-rock. But then, if not alt-rock, then what? Does it matter? No, not a jot.
