If you are one of those, who crave more ornate, heavier and intricate music. If you are looking for music that blends muscle and melody, poignancy and poise. If you are a fan of epic, cinematic music. Music that blends grace with grandeur, groove with grind. Or, if you are just a fan of great music delivered with power and panache, Divine Martyr is the band for you.

Truth is a complex beast. That is true of the concept in general, for sure, but it is also true, musically speaking, of the new single from the band. But for all of its dark designs and brooding vibes, its impressive BPM count, not to mention the speed at which they fire off salvos of bass lines and spiralling guitar riffs, bruising back beats and percussive punctuation, Truth is a totally accessible song.

Heavy, but not in the gratuitous, showboating sort of way that many metal bands are happy to settle for. Here is a song with addictive tones and infectious textures, baroque washes and incendiary vocal deliveries, but it is also deft and danceable, groovesome and gorgeous.

If only all metal could reach such benchmarks!
