I love that ragged middle ground between folk and rock and indie that Arrows of the Sun uses as a sonic crucible to create music in. The Sound of Silence Boy has the raw delicacy of the former, the shimmering cool of the latter and an understated, perhaps post-rock, bass-driven energy that propels the song through these sonic pastures.
And, as always, there is a depth and intelligence to the narrative lyrics that is not often found in any of those genres.
