There is a beautiful mix of almost musical theatre vibes and some incredible indie rock sounds in the songs found on Sugar For The Flies, the new one from Audri. It makes a refreshing change from all those oh-so-serious indie kids with their designer labels and complicated hair, having us believe that indie music is anything more than pop music for the moment.

Audri seems to embrace that poppiness, though she does it poised and perfectly. The result is a set of songs that is a breath of fresh air even in their darker moments. It’s easy to believe that these songs are the sound track to the newest stage show to breeze intoin town. If so, where do I queue for tickets?
