This is a strange track, but strange is one of those words I always use in the positive, like weird, leftfield, unique, unconventional, challenging, and different – all words with positive meanings, especially when you think of the opposites of those words – conventional, mundane, samey, unimaginative, etc.
Space Tellz II is strange in that it seems to ebb and flow between a more conventional ambient sound, drifting vocals over ambient soundscapes, but is constantly in danger of being subsumed by something more avant-garde, ticking voices, affected vocals, and whispering interludes. Each on their own might not work, the one too conventional, the other too odd. Together, they make something truly unique.
