I’ll be honest, I checked the band out because of the cool name. I do love a humourous and interesting moniker. Then I checked out the blurb below the video and realised that this band had something fascinating to discuss – in the case of this song, the bravery of one Cold War submarine captain and the aversion of potentially the third world war. The song then subliminally begs the question, is it only when push comes to shove that we find out who we are?
Then, I listened to music that seemed to span proggy complexity, rock weight, and pop accessibility and realised that I had stumbled onto something great. And that they can cover the time it takes most people to boil an egg. Impressive.
