Rap music has always spoken from the street up, always represented the little man, and has always been a force to speak truth to power. And whilst some of that identity has got a bit lost along the way, sidetracked via the quest for money and celebrity, which has resulted in every wannabe mumble rapper and hip-hop chancer diluting the water with their half-baked efforts, at least The Advocate Brigade remember the power that is in their hands.

And so, having been afforded such a platform from which to discuss their concerns and spread their ideas, that is exactly what they proceed to do. Idle Minds sees them discuss the hussle and hassle of modern, urban life but also bigger movements such as the advocay for social change and perhaps even rebellion. And this they frame in the context that it is only through faith and the pursuit of higher, spiritual concerns can your mind truly be free.

Remember when rap music had something meaningful to discuss? The Advocate Brigade certainly does.
