Proof that music is more powerful than language is a song like this new one from Antoine HLT. After all, I don’t speak much French, only enough retained schoolboy learning to ask my way to the train station or tell someone that the monkey is in the tree, but despite that language barrier, I still find Il Regarde Le Ciel the most fun slice of pop I have heard in a while.
And the fact that it comes with an acoustic version and a purely instrumental take means that there is plenty to play, absorb and love.
