Anything that starts off with a riff that Mark Bolan would have been proud of is a track that is going to kick arse and cut the mustard, as we say over here in dear old Blighty. I was going to add that there is also a neat little guitar run that seems straight out of the Oasis back catalogue but then remembered that they owe more to the Boppin’ Elf than they ever did to The Beatles, certainly in the early days, anyway.
John Fishell understands that rock and roll never needed to be overly complex and Daisy Chains is one of those great, foot on the monitor, fist in the air, no-nonsense slices of old school groove and grind that seems to have gone out of fashion of late, replaced by moody and angst-ridden alternative music makers. Alternative to what? Having a good time, it would seem.
