It’s the curse of our modern lifestyle. You find the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with but then gradually gravitate towards spending so much time indulging your own passions and pastimes that you neglect the one thing that should be most important in your life. We all need space but we all need to feel wanted too and it is that balance which is hard to get just right and that is the dilemma being explored in this latest song from T.Savvy.

Spent My Time is a mesh of skittering trap beats and sultry R&B grooves, spacious piano and imploring vocals, a delivery which sits neatly between conventional sung sonics and spoken word rapped flows. The song has an hypnotic quality created by the singular dynamic plane that it runs on, eschewing the traditional verse-chorus structure and instead coming off like a confessional love letter or a stream of consciousness out-pouring.

Cool enough to appeal to the urban underground, slick enough to be picked up by the mainstream. A win-win situation whichever way you look at it.
