Los Angeles-based retro-pop band ReLoVe was selected as an Official Nominee in the 2021 New Music Awards category ‘AC New Group of the Year’.  Their first single ‘Shining Through’ from their 2019 AWAL EP release had over 135K streams on Spotify, climbed the AC/HOT Up & Coming commercial radio charts in the USA reaching #23 on the AC Indie Music Singles chart.

Currently, ReLoVe continues to release singles from their 7-song collection which digs much deeper, both musically and lyrically.  Always prompting the questions that need to be asked, Glenn Jost’s vocals and lyrics keep challenging the complex socio-spiritual reality we all share.  Jost wrote the songs and organically tracked all drums and acoustic guitars with bandmate producer Victor Bender.  Hussain Jiffry (Herb Alpert) laid down his serious bass guitar grooves, with multi-instrumentalist Bender producing and playing all keyboards and electric guitars.  From there, Jost seeks the icing on the cake to bring the tracks to their highest place.

In this case, ‘The Vegetable Song’ features the bouncy vocal riddims of G-Terra, the Jamaican Reggae Hip Hop Artist who effortlessly crosses over into genres he chooses without question.  Lucky for ReLoVe, as they continue to host their most diverse and eclectic team of artists from around the world to culminate a unique sound together, with Glenn from Buffalo, NY, Victor from Medellin, Colombia, and Jiffry from Sri Lanka.  This song is Bob Marley inspired, with an introspective look at why we follow, what we follow…
