Soaring and soulful, slick and sassy and lyrically eminently relevant. It’s always nice to find something new and unexpected in the in-tray to blast around the office on a damp Saturday morning. This Yorkshire 5 piece’s core sound is a weave of alt-rock drives with grunge groundings, a hard edged indie style with pop sensibility and an ear for melody but with No Rifles they head into more soaring, anthemic territory to great effect. Having built up a strong following in their own corner of the country are now planning a series of releases to take their music to a wider audience. If they carry on with music of this calibre, I think they will do fine.
