12400783_1663387983935349_5662255061934745306_nIt isn’t very often you come across a new musical term that actually has the right resonance. Sticking “core” after a testosterone charged prefix might suffice for the metal community but out in the post-pubescent world demands are much higher. Seeing the word “atmosfolk” being used to sum up this ethereal Irish duo therefore brought a smile to my lips and a simile to my pen, like the icing on a cake.

Not only does this latest video from Saint Sister match the music in terms of charm, grace and restraint, is soaked with an intrinsically celtic vibe and imbued with a dark and deep seated nostalgia, it comes with it’s own ready to use generic handle. Lovely.
