There is something of Nick Cave about this latest one from Dark Miles. Somewhere between the abrasiveness of the early days and the more melancholy-drenched later period, a song like this would have fitted right into the set.
Like the Antipodean gothfather, Dark Miles can walk a fine line between alt-rock and gothic worlds, apocalyptic blues and energetic infectiousness. Your Heart Is An Empty Street is music made between a rock and a dark place, and the results are very satisfying. Very satisfying indeed.
