An indie band with rock chops or a rock band with indie infectiousness? I guess it just depends how you look at things. But that is just semantics. All that really matters is the fact that Blue Orchid Reaction is able to weave both these generic strands and more into a great sound.
Under These Skies is big and clever; it is anthemic yet accessible, a blend of cavernous walls of noise and squalling rock licks but hook-laden, huge, even slightly shoegaze-infused. I love everything about it.
