Chris Jacobson, in general, and his latest single in particular, To Live (Is To Love),  are excellent examples of music-making in the modern, post-genre world. As a modern multi-instrumentalist, he is neither hampered by the need for a band nor corralled down the old generic, tribal lines of the past.

The result is a song that bristles with rock energy and shimmers with pop poise whilst not playing entirely by the rules of either and instead brilliantly walking a fine line that reaps the benefits of both worlds.
