Micheal Fordays makes a great sound, but then again, he should know what he is doing, given that he has earned his stripes playing for everyone from ultra experimentalists Mind Over Four to being the resident guitarist for KMFDM. He is also the touring six-stringer with Joan Jones and a member of LA’s Overbreaker.
What we get with this solo outing is a neat blend of alternative grooves and garage rock moves, traditional sounds and forward-thinking sonics, and one of those riffs that totally floors you with its sheer infectiousness before seducing you with its simple deftness.
The Stones Never Move is a fantastic slice of music, and Micheal Fordays is one smart sonic cookie.
