If the band name, Mudbelly, sounds like a decrepit Mississippi blues player and Sludge like some sort of grunge-metal band, then the combination of those images is exactly what the band sounds like.

Blues played by a grunge band, or vice-versa, Sludge lives up to its name and the track sort of oozes towards the player rather than do anything as ordinary as drive or groove. And it is that restraint, that relaxed pace, that menacing saunter that makes the sonic weight land with such aplomb.

Add in a video that looks as if it was made by the same people who brought you Sabotage by Beastie Boys, and you have a great package.
