If you take an artist whose core sound emanates from a more ambient, cinematic place and then invite musicians from more conventional genres to expand on those drifting, floating soundscapes, this is the result.
Sinking Road is just one version of this fabulous collaboration from Waterbody’s album Aquatic Happenings; here, a more structured, slightly post-rock soundscape emerges, but as the album proves, add the ideas and instrumentation in different amounts, and the results can take you all over the music map…and beyond.
