A Cypriot, a Portuguese, and two Frenchmen walk into a London bar…
That might sound like the set-up for a great joke, but it is actually the creation myth for hot and happening, new London band 4FOXSAKE and Pushin 30, their new one, is a tasty sonic slice and no mistake.
It’s a song of two halves. The first, understated and reflective, acoustic-driven and inward-looking, and the latter part of the song is rhythmic alt-rock, gritty and groovesome.
Sure, it’s like plenty of music that you have heard before, but you probably haven’t heard it done this well, this effortlessly, this infectiously. It’s wonderfully familiar, yes, but also totally fresh. Fan-bloody-tastic!
