Punk and indie might often seem to be words apart. Still, if the former concentrated on being more melodic and less, well, shouty, and the latter spent less time worrying about wearing the proper designer labels, and less time checking its hair in the mirror, then they could easily find common ground. And that common ground might sound a lot like Self Torque.

Low-slung and sleazy, No Rest is the perfect blend of melody and muscle, groove and grit. Having paid his dues playing guitar in groups like Haters and The Divers, Gabriel A. Pentin now brings all that experience together in Self Torque. One to watch, for sure.
