This is indeed a meeting of musical minds, a song that starts in clipped, buoyant, dance-pop realms and then explodes via punked-up, garage rock guitar salvos. It’s the sound of the past, DIY, outsider rock rebellion and punk swagger being embraced, cocooned, polished and repackaged as it bumps and grinds its way across the modern club dance floor.

It is truly a song that exists between pop and a hard place.
