I guess if you don’t want to get bogged down in specifics, you could just call this merely pop music. But, like all simplifications, such a tag would come with a few caveats.

If it is pop music, it is pop music with a rock heart and a sense of the anthemic. Pop music that errs on the side of dreamscapes and drift. Pop that mixes muscle with melody. Grace with groove. Haze with harmony. Poised pop, proper pop, pop with a Ph.D.

That’s the trouble with simple generic labels…they don’t tell you anything at all.
