Man, this hits me right in the nostalgia! I’m not saying that it is in any way backward-glancing, but it does remind me of all sorts of music that I have had a soft spot for throughout my life: everything from 60s garage bands to 80s glam metal to 90s alternative rock.
It manages to be original music that also pays tribute to some of the finest foot-on-the-mintor, heads-down, no-nonsense, mindless boogie ever created. It’s both fresh and familiar! What’s not to like?
