Despite its stern warning of a title, Get Out of My Life is a funky slice of indie-pop, and it is that blend of dark lyrical connotations and the upbeat and optimistic musical vehicle that carries the message, that makes it such an intriguing prospect.

Wandering between brooding spoken word and upbeat grooviness, acoustic understatement and shimmering guitar work, spacious beats, and coiled, energetic drive, it will brighten your day, if nothing else. And that’s all you can ask of any song, really.
