I must confess, I’m not really sure what post-hardcore is meant to sound like. Like all post-this and that-core demarcations, the landscape such a term seeks to describe seems too broad a place for any consistency, and genres are always problematic, not up to the task and ready to let you down.
But, if post-hardcore is a coming together of snarling garage rock swagger and metal sonic tsunamis, if has something to do with shifting the dynamics of volume and velocity across a bombastic and often brutal platform, if it is a perfect storm of melody and muscle, then Could Be Ghosts are indeed it.
