When did indie music become so anthemic? Or pop music so well crafted? Or rock music so infectious? Depending on where you think Dawks is based musically speaking, one, some or all of those questions are relevant because, on the evidence of songs like Friday Bliss, he sits at a point that effortlessly shifts between all three of those music traditions.

And that of course is key, especially in the post-genre world that we find ourselves. Any artist able to tick any number of boxes without compromising what they do, and do so well is going to be someone who has a long and successful career ahead of them. And that is precisely what is going on here.
