It’s fair to say that Teddy Clarke covers a lot of ground with this six-track ep. Broadly, he makes indie music with a pop edge, but that is just the platform that he builds on and it is the other elements and sonic building blocks that he adds to the mix that makes things really interesting.
From the soulful and understated opening title track to the glitchy, electronic slow-jam pop grooves of Sabotage Like Shakespeare and from the shimmering understatement of earlier single Lighter Fluid to the upbeat and energetic Partner in Those Lies, it is safe to say that there is something for every discerning pop fan to be found here.
