Want a heads up at where alt-pop is today? Well, just wrap your ears around this latest one from Britta Raci. It’s pop because it ticks all the right boxes for infectiousness, groove, energy and the like. But, it’s the sort of pop that you just wish would come along in sufficient numbers to storm the mainstream barricades, smash the chart system and rebuild it in its own image.

Pop with attitude? Understated indie with extra helpings of swagger? Alt-pop with rock and roll pretensions? It’s all that, of course, but you might as well just say that it is simply, a damned great song!
