We’ve all been there. In a one-sided relationship, the other person only seems to get close when they need something rather than pursuing a genuine, sharing, loving relationship. Well, at least Mizzy has music to fall back on and Don’t Call Me puts all those frustrations and disappointments in sonic form.
It is dark and slowly grooving. It vents her anger perfectly, almost rationally, which is unexpected given the circumstances. And for all its darkness and angst, it is hugely infectious. Art from pain? We’ve been doing it since art was first invented. Mizzy, you are in good company.
