Well, this is totally lovely. Seductive, soulful, sensitive, sensual, and plenty of other adjectives that begin with letters other than s. There is a wilfully lazy vibe here, an unrushed and matter-of-fact quality at work that belies just how brilliantly put together it is, how wonderfully understated and underplayed it is.
And that is the key: space. It allows the song to breathe, the sentiment to flow, and the music to emanate into the world uncrowded by overplaying and showboating. It is music without the sound of an ego anywhere to be found. Remarkable.
