Alone, in particular, and Seven Red Lions, in general, prove two things. Rock music ain’t broke; there is nothing to fix. All the astute rock band needs to do is rearrange the road-tested musical elements that have served the genre well for so long into attractive new designs, and they will find a market waiting for them. This is precisely what they have done here.

The second thing is that even though the band formed in London, with members originating from Mexico, Venezuela, Portugal, and Sweden, it shows that rock is still as ubiquitous a global phenomenon as it has always been.

But then we always knew that was the case; Alone is just the sonic proof.
