Even the humble pop song can be deep and meaningful. Not that A Meaningful Reflection is your average pop song. But amongst its accessible pop energies and indie sensibilities, clever dynamics, and its blend of lulls and crescendos, there is a serious point to be made.
Life is a tough race. It is mundane and painful, full of toil and restrictions, a machine that seems designed to stop us from being who we otherwise might be. A Meaningful Reflection is a song for when you briefly stop and think about the rat race. Stop and think, but then move on because you are too busy serving its needs to even contemplate breaking free.
