I must confess that I’m not that knowledgeable about ska music, the reggae genre in general, the history and evolution of Caribbean music, or the culture that bore them, which might make you wonder if I am even qualified to write this or any other music-related article. In my defense, I may not have a Ph.D. in Jamaican rhythms, but I know what I like. And I like Subject A. I like them a lot….
