If you are going to make pop music, you might as well dive right in and embrace everything the genre has to offer. And if you don’t know what that sounds like, then give Michael Lazar‘s latest single, ‘Kaleidoscope,’ a spin.

This shimmering, dance-grooved track is everything you need in a pop song. And, indeed, everything you need from a dancefloor filler. It is polished but also poised, driven yet shaped by changing dynamics, synth-soaked and energetic to the point of euphoria. It also blends the best of chart-bound pop and the clubland cool, in that whilst it is full of clever sonic moves, it is also as infectious as hell. Pop pickers, dance divas, nocturnal nightclubers, and fans of discerning and deliciously immediate music will all love it.

“Kaleidoscope” is about that moment when everything you have been holding in, all those things that you want to say or show the world, finally come pouring out. It is an overwhelming release, a burst of truth, a chaotic, high-octane rush of emotions, and it is beautiful.

The single also gives us a taste of Lazar’s forthcoming EP of the same name, which promises even more sophisticated, high-energy, infectious dance-pop. The coming summer has just found its soundtrack!
