Future Days – Can (reviewed by Al Bridges)

A friend recently discovered the Japanese psychedelic band Kikagaku Moyo and on offering to recommend some other similar bands, the urge was there to ape the comment Robert Fripp allegedly said to Bill Bruford when it was his time to join King Crimson, that in no uncertain terms he was “now ready.”, like his time in the Dagobah system was complete and he was now ready for the real deal. This is how I have felt about recommending Can to him. A band so mythical that the more ridiculous the backstory, the better. My introduction was quite straightforward…
