Astral Bakers is the new band featuring Sage aka Ambroise Willaume, formerly of French trio Revolver with multiple releases on Astralwerks from 2008-2011, as well as Theodora, Nico Lockhart and ZoƩ Hochberg.

Today the outfit releases their debut single and video “One More,” which you can check out via YouTube. The four members go back to the pure on this powerful and personal track, between the bewitching folk of Aldous Harding or Andy Shauf, the modern accents of Big Thief, and the formal freedom of Supertramp.

The first video in the Sidereal Sessions series, “One More” takes you deep into the Astral Bakers’ recording process. Like a star turning on itself, Matthieu Torres’ camera is in the centre of the four members of the band who form a perfect circle, moving from one musician to the other to the rhythm of the instruments and Sage’s voice, which is as strong as it is fragile.

Filmed in sequence, without ever breaking away from the slow and unchanging rotation of the central camera, this first Sidereal Session captures an honest simplicity, matching the music in a measured way.
