If you want your love songs haunting and brilliant with more than a twist of the atmosphere that David Lynch conjurs, look no further than Danish singer Ida Wenoe. Drifty guitar, bottomless drums and clever backing vocals underpin the angelic Nordic voice of Wenoe perfectly. She might just be your new favourite female singer.

There is something quite vintage about the style of and delivery of the song but this is something that fans of hers will know all about, this is the first single from her upcoming second album ‘The Things We Don’t Know Yet’ which is available for download from 12th April and should act as a great introduction for anybody new to her work.

For a more intimate experience, listen through headphones in a quiet space.

A brilliant slice of skewed love.
