War Against Reality is less an EP in the traditional sense and more a visceral, intense, and terrifying experience. K6R6NZ6N is less a band or an artist, more a sonic event horizon formed in the wake of the collapse of several existing projects, coalescing into something that could only ever really see the light of day in this adventurous, post-genre world that we find ourselves in.

The six songs found here sit at the collision point of so many sounds – witch house’s eldritch vibes, a sort of gothic trap beat, shamanic post-punk, ritualistic electronica, and all manner of spectral voices from the ethereal to the demonic.

The result is a set of songs that feel like dark magic performed in sonic form, musical evocations that open portals and summon the otherworldly, dark dancefloor rituals that exist in many words at once.

If “Rotten Hallucinations” lays down a ticking time bomb beat upon which searing electronica and a voice that seems to emanate from the seventh circle of hell itself, the fact that “Sathan Trismegistus” rages away in Spanish seems to add even more menace to the music. “Demon of Swords” is the voice of the underworld itself, Asmodeus itself, trying to gain access to our own mortal realm.

“Putrefaccion” offers a sonic respite, understated and atmospheric, delicate female vocals, and urgent and emploring spoken word, temporarily replacing the devilish roar, and “Maldicion” rounds things off by taking the previous song’s traits to anthemic and incredible heights, a strange balance between sonically good and musically evil.

It’s a dark and often unnerving experience, but at times beautiful too. It’s the sound of the walls of reality being pushed and tested under the pressure of otherworldly beings and their dark intent. It’s the soundtrack to Armageddon, but who knew that when the end of the world does arrive, you are going to be able to dance to it!
