Victoria, Swindon
Thursday 9 July
Two slices of foot-stomping indie rock are heading for Victoria on 9 July as Bristol’s The Pavilion rolls into town, bringing with it the sort of high-energy, anthem-fuelled set designed for festival fields and packed club floors alike.
Recently revitalized by a refreshed line-up, the band enters an exciting new phase under the guidance of frontman Rhys Smedley, joined by guitarist Iwan Morris, bassist Dan O’Connor, and drummer Josh Vallis. The new configuration has injected fresh momentum into the Bristol outfit, and their latest EP serves as both a statement of intent and a glimpse of bigger things to come. Built on soaring hooks, driving guitars and plenty of indie-rock swagger, they have spent the past few years making a name for themselves across the Bristol circuit. Now, they bring that growing reputation to Swindon.
Joining them are Bucket Fight, a Swindon indie-rock outfit whose story begins, fittingly enough, in an Old Town garage. Formed in 2025, they deal in punchy riffs, sharp songwriting, and enough youthful energy to power the national grid. Their set is packed with original material delivered with confidence, urgency and a healthy disregard for subtlety. Catch them now while you can still say you saw them before everyone else did.
Big choruses, bigger guitars, and enough indie-rock energy to shake the dust from the rafters. Two bands, one stage, and a reminder that the best nights out are still built on loud music, sweat, and songs you’ll be singing all the way home. Doors open on 9 July. Be there.
