It might be easier to list the few sonic strands not found in Glass Eye’s music, but let me have a go. The Crush runs on dark psychedelic energy, the guitars ebb and flow between beguiling jangle and crushing, grunge-infused power, the vocals scream from the edge of the abyss, and there is much Doorsian atmosphere and growing anticipation pooling and percolating in the spaces between them, than there is actual instrumentation.
And that is just the first layer of this sonic onion peeled away. Have a listen and do your digging; see what you can find; it’s fun! Like all onion-peeling escapades, it will make might make you cry, but they will be tears of joy.
