Understanding which genre you fit in is okay for some bands, but for my money, the best music comes from bands who have a total disregard for such musical demarcations and sonic allegiances. Concrete Club is the perfect example of such an approach in action.

They understand that it is by combining elements carefully selected from all genres and mixing them into something fresh and yet slightly familiar that you find the way forward, both for them as a band and for the advancement of music in general. And so they take the infectiousness of pop, the cool swagger of indie and the drive of rock and forge it into a sound that ticks all the right boxes.
