As DAA is branching out beyond just writing, I thought I’d do a weekly, or at least regular, round-up of what is going on in our world.

The first thing of note is that we are gradually moving back into gig booking and promotion, ironically, the thing that brought me into the music world in the first place, that and playing bass in a succession of cool and/or questionable bands.

I’m currently looking to fill gaps for the following acts.

Chris Murphy, renowned fiddle player, raconteur, and all-round legend for the South of England, preferably, either as a solo show or with Barney Kenny as support/shared headline.

Tommy Hale and the Magnificent Bastards kick ass rock and roll with a Texas twang, a five-piece band reminiscent of the Stones/Dogs D’Amour, with a preference for locations south or southwest of the UK.

Going forward, I’m always happy to talk to new venues and add you to our contact list. Next year is already starting to look busy, so feel free to become part of our network.

Apart from the above artists, our recent bookings have included Heathen Apostles, Adam Masterson, Kelly Swindall, Lewis Barfoot, Will Lawton and the Alchemists, The Last Great Dreamers, Port Erin, Nick Parker, and many more.

And just a reminder that apart from writing reviews, we are happy to discuss interviews, press release/bio writing, and anything else you think we can help with.
