You have to admire Joshua’s quality and pace, something as applicable to his careful and calculated drip feeding of a series of songs over the years, rather than the undignified rush, which seems to be the norm these days, as it is to the content of the songs themselves.
Winter Cowboy is a soft and subtle piano lead number, one that ebbs and flows between gentle, lulling moments and more anthemic crescendos, and which makes for the perfect platform for his gorgeous vocal tones to dance deftly and spaciously across. Perfect for the time of year.
