Video of the Day: Osiris at the Large Hadron Collider – Erotic Secrets of Pompeii

Just those words all together in one place is enough to make you want to know more. Then they managed to squeeze the word “Cantilever” into the lyrics, and I realised I was in love with this song.

But wordplay aside, Osiris at the Large Hadron Collider is a neat slice of punchy alt-rock, a song shimmering with nervous energy and off-beat vibes; maybe not quite alt-rock, but it’s undoubtedly on first-name terms with alt-rock. But then, if not alt-rock, then what? Does it matter? No, not a jot.

And then there’s the video, a short, sharp and shockingly great film that shows you that even when the budget is modest, truly creative types can make that go a long way and have a lot of fun. And is that a Tom Hackwell I see before me? That explains a lot!
