Mentioned in Dispatches: Forgotten But Not Gone – Lone Stag

With Bonnie Prince Billy and Iron & Wine as inspiration, the cleverly named Forgotten But Not Gone sees Lone Stag making a slightly melancholic, or at least whistful or reflective, fusion of old-world folk and new-world roots music.

And it is lovely stuff. It is lyrically rewarding and poetic, musically spacious, for the most part, but with regular bursts of sonic energy injected to help carry it effortlessly forward. Who needs a musical lone wolf prowling around when you have the mellifluous music of Lone Stag?
